Veritus Agent is building the first fully AI-native voice agent platform for consumer lending and collections. We’re a YC-backed team with leadership from Best Egg, PayPal, Divvy, and Lending Club—on a mission to modernize legacy call centers with real-time AI agents that drive higher conversions, lower costs, and better borrower outcomes.\ \ **The Opportunity**

We’re hiring a **Forward Deployed Engineer** to help scale our AI voice agents as we move from product-market fit into rapid growth. This is a hands-on, client-facing engineering role responsible for translating real-world requirements into production AI agents.\ \ You’ll work closely with customers, sales, and engineering to:

* Translate customer-specific requirements and compliance constraints into robust, testable logic * Write tools and backend integrations that allow agents to interface with external systems (APIs, CRMs, payment platforms, etc.) * Tune latency, responsiveness, and voice quality using platforms like OpenAI, ElevenLabs, and Deepgram * Design A/B tests to optimize business outcomes and regulatory adherence

### **You’ll thrive in this role if you:**

* A proven track record of building software in TypeScript or Python * Experience building and consuming APIs * Have experience working with AI systems, orchestration frameworks, or LLM evaluation tools * Excited by in the unique challenges of building low-latency, interruptible real-time voice systems * Are motivated by delivering measurable impact in regulated, high-trust domains like finance or healthcare * Enjoy operating close to the customer and iterating quickly based on live data and feedback * Want to be part of a high-ownership, execution-focused team solving meaningful problems

### **Nice to Have**

* Familiarity with voice design, turn-taking, and dialog systems * Experience in financial services, healthcare, or other compliance-heavy environments * Fluency in Spanish
